Asbestos Identification by Polarised Light Microscopy
I undertook a unique volunteer opportunity to create an instructional video on asbestos identification via Polarised Light Microscopy. This project combined my analytical chemistry expertise with educational outreach, producing a resource used at NLS conferences to train scientists in this critical environmental analysis technique.
Neonicotinoids & Bees
Recognising the crucial role that bees play in pollinating three-quarters of the world's crops, this research project examined the impact of neonicotinoid pesticides on bee populations. The study explored the environmental chemistry behind these widely-used agricultural chemicals and their effects on pollinator health.
